SMART COD PRO · Included in every PRO plan
Know why checkout made that decision.
See the matched rule, delivery-history context and protection action together. Investigate a result without guessing.
How it works
From “COD disappeared” to a specific explanation.
A checkout result can come from a normal rule, delivery history, a positive-history allowance or an available ML decision. Without an audit, those causes look similar from the outside. PRO records the original decision with the relevant context, so you can investigate what happened instead of changing settings blindly.
Read the recorded action together with the settings revision, local and network checks, matched rules and history overrides. When ML information is available, the audit includes its recorded status, score or factors. An entry remains a record of that moment; later settings changes do not rewrite the original decision.
Your checkout, your rules
Understand what matched and what actually applied.
A condition can be satisfied without determining the final result because another rule has priority. A positive-history allowance may be met while a separate product restriction still hides COD. The audit keeps these explanations separate instead of reducing everything to a single unexplained risk label.
Filter decisions by date, action and whether an order is linked. Follow the order link when one exists. A recorded checkout decision without a linked order can belong to an abandoned checkout; it does not by itself prove that an order or payment was completed.
In practice
Example scenarios
Illustrative rules and amounts. You choose the values that fit your store.
| When this happens | Your chosen result |
|---|---|
| A shipping or product restriction matches | Inspect the matched checkout rule rather than assuming the network caused the result. |
| Positive-history allowance is satisfied, but COD is still hidden | Check which independent restriction or higher-priority decision actually applied. |
| The entry says local-only history | The network was not evaluated for that decision; this is different from a negative network result. |
What the customer experiences
The audit is a merchant tool, not an extra step for the shopper. The customer sees the resulting payment options or protection action; you get the explanation in your account and in WooCommerce → Smart COD PRO.

Your account + WooCommerceQuestions about this feature
Does editing settings change old audit entries?
No. Audit entries preserve the original recorded decision and its context.
Can I inspect a checkout that did not become an order?
A recorded decision may be available without a linked order. Use the linked/unlinked filter and read it as a checkout decision, not proof of a completed purchase.
